The First Loop

This comic here is one of my favorites and one of the comics that really made us think we should make a whole book about our “Moments in Aviation History”. You can research the Russian pilot and you can research the first loop ever flown. But what we wondered was: Did he actually mean to do a loop in the first place? 😉
Chances are he did, and we’re glad it worked out because airshows would be pretty boring if nobody ever did any loops, but it was fun to think about.

Speaking of “Moments in Aviation History”:

THE NEW BOOK IS OUT!

Moments in Aviation History CoverThe way this book is getting launched is really weird, and not at all how we planned it. But we promised you it will be available in the beginning of April. You can now get it from us online. You can find it here if you’re based in Europe, or here if you are on the American continent, or Australia.

The reason for this rather “soft” launch without much advertising is that there might be restrictions, especially in Europe, with shipping. As far as I know, I am still unrestricted in the US, but Stefan might have a few countries he currently can’t ship to. We ask you to please check what the situation is in your country before you order, or write us. And we can always lay one aside for you with the promise that we will ship the moment these restrictions will be lifted.

We want to thank all of you for the support, messages, laughs, and company over the years and hope that this book will make a little time of your quarantine go by a little faster and give you something to chuckle in these trying times. We’re still looking forward to seeing as many of you as we can at AERO, whenever AERO will be held again.

Of course he was promptly arrested for it as well. He was only released when the government learned of the significance of the accomplishment.

One of our book suppliers in Germany has announced that DHL will no longer ship to the US (at the least) due to COVID-19 issues. I can believe that.

@Michael: I wouldn’t be surprised. But we have the book in the US already and so far, even today, we can still ship FROM the US TO Germany.
But there are a few restrictions we are seeing for Stefan when it comes to shipping from Austria to the rest of Europe…
    🙁
