Hot dog purchase
This strip reminds me of one of my favorite jokes. I’m sure most of you have heard it, but in case you haven’t:
A Buddhist monk walks up to a hot dog vendor and says: “Make me one with everything.”
(Actually the joke could end right there, but it goes on…)
The vendor makes the hot dog and gives it to the monk, saying “That will be $4 please”. After the monk hands over a $10 bill, he finds himself waiting uncomfortably while the vendor does nothing except stare back at him.
Awkwardly the monk asks “What about my change?” “Ah,” replies the hot dog vendor, “Change must come from within.”
Haha! 🙂
Finally: Sorry again for the delay! I guess we should change our schedule to “new strip once a week” not “every Tuesday” … but things are still busy. Now my whole family is sick with different issues from Corona to stomach bug and I’m the last man standing… Hope you’re having a better time!
All the best,
Stef

Speedy recovery to your family Stef and hope you stay clear of it all! No worries about the schedule – you and Mike provide a free service, who dares to complain about the schedule?!
Hi,
A speedy recovery from me as well. To the schedule of strips, don‘t worry. You are –as Golub correctly stated–providing a free service, so everyone reading them should just enjoy it an be thankful.
Now to your strip, it is one of the funniest strips on Chickenwingscomics, they are all funny, no question, but this one–couldn‘t stop laughing, especially the add-on joke about the monk an the “change from within!”
Thanks for all the strips and the fun they provide.
Greetings and all the best.

FWIW, if Chuck is approaching from the north, why is the sun behind him? Based on the angle of the shadow of the cart and sunbrella, it seems it’s close to high noon which would put the sun behind Chuck, making him approach from the south.
Sorry, my OCD helps me with cardinal directions which come natural to me. And that definitely helps with piloting. 🙂
My friends often mention a place while pointing a finger and my OCD very often corrects them by silently pointing in the right direction.
Hope y’all feel better by now, Stefan. Stuff has been going around, it isn’t fun.
Keep the oily side down!
Lou
Now that I think about it, I wonder if Stefan did this on purpose to quietly hint at Chuck’s implied incompetence. Hmm, nice Easter egg, Stef! 🙂
