Going to space

Hear hear! Will Chuck indeed go where no chicken has gone before? Which raises an interesting question. Has there ever been a chicken in space? We know about monkeys, dogs and lab rats, but I haven’t heard of a chicken before. Wouldn’t surprise me though if they had tested laying hens in the ISS!

This might be a silly question, but I can’t shake it off my head now: if a hen lays an egg in a zero G environment, is it going to be perfectly round?

think it was NASA who took baby birds up into space cant remember if they where ducklings or chicks. There is footage of it some where.
