Perspectives
Aviation is probably not the only field where groups within the profession view each other quite differently. But since I have worked in this business my whole life, I am very familiar with the differences in aviation. This comic needs no words. It also explains why the chief pilot position is such a hard, thankless, and underpaid job and why you never see anyone last in this position for longer than a couple of years.
As chief pilot you are basically put right in the middle of the four groups pictured in the cartoon. And of course, every one of the factions is always right and doesn’t necessarily see the other side of things. It’s been fun, I did get a t-shirt and had a fancy business card, but I am more than happy to be back flying for a living again …

Nailed it. Also applies to motor pools.
That sounds like a skilful aviation variant of an oldie in IT – something with a swing in a tree.
Love this! 🙂
It’s one of my personal favorites. Kinda explains the whole aviation business in 5 panels…
😉
That strip is so true. Everywhere – it was during my military time, and now in civilian life the same.
I love that strip.
When I was in the Air Force there was a tea towel offered with similar illustrations of the military pilot “as seen by…” I always regret not getting one.
