What did you break this time?
If I had a nickel for every time I heard the word exchange on the first panel, I could probably quit my day job. And I have been on both sides of the conversation so it’s double. However I have never bent a flap lever (which Chuck seems to do quite often btw 😉 )
I’ve had jobs cleaning up after people like that. A favourite statement of mine was, “I fixed it last time. It was fine until you touched it. What did you do?”
If I had a nickel for everytime I’d heard, “Uh, nothing…” in response to that, I wouldn’t have to work anymore. Neither would both of my boys.
How about 2 flat tyres on a helicopter after an autorotation-exercise: “The parkingbrakecable must have been stuck” having a fully hydraulical operated (parking)brake system…
Having an aircadet in the simulator: “Does the flaplever come off like this?” holding it up. 5 seconds later: “And this one?” holding up the landinggear switch…
If it still works it ain’t broke. Yet.
