Paper memory
Thank goodness for checklists! I don’t need checklists per se in my job, but I sure keep a lot of lists, for projects, private stuff, shopping, etc. In the old days, I’d have a system of paper sheets with various lists, plus a small calendar. Nowadays there’s an app for that, of course. I sure don’t miss my big messy heap of lists, where half the things were crossed out … and keeping it on an app also helps avoid situations like the one Chuck is in. I used to forget shopping an other lists all the time, but as the average phone addict, I’d never forget my cell phone, haha!

To be fair, he had: “Make sure not to lose the checklist.” on the checklist, he just lost it before he got to it.
Wake up honey, new Chicken Wings dropped
Something like a Checklist, we’ve got blend sheets for our work, but the SAP inventory labels say one name (a brand-name that may or may not be from a company still in business), the sheet has another name (likely the same deal), and the item needed has yet another (because either a new supplier was acquired, using their brand name for the chemical, or yet another take-over happened). Now, the SAP label has a part number, but if they’re close enough, one might grab the wrong chemical because the unused product name was on the label and almost matches the now unused product name on the bland sheet, and causes one to ruin $20,000 worth of product. Seen it 3 times now, luckily (touch wood) not my mistake. Mine was someone moving my worksheet so the overall order amount was prominent so I put twice the needed product in (That’s when I caught it, could have been worse) and instead of one last batch, I ended up splitting things and making two.
