Lost in translation

We actually “translate” Chicken Wings into British English before we send our comics to British based “Pilot” Magazine. Since Chuck was born at a little flight school on the West Coast of the US, he doesn’t originally quite speak the queens English.

The Civil Air Patrol International Air Cadet Exchange is a real thing though. I believe registration for this year has already ended, but here is some info if you are interested, or interested for your kids:

As a citizen of the United Kingdom, and a student of both the Dutch and German languages,I was really disappointed that more of the Chicken Wings were not produced in German. However, unfortunately, commercial considerations have to outweigh my interests.
I actually knew a Brit living on an RAF Station in Germany, who always set off driving on whatever side the car was parked. Claimed that if she was wrong, other motorists flashed their lights at her

And now Chuck has to learn the King’s English!
