Almost late

My time management seem to be on Chuck’s level. My work stress is distributed very unevenly, so I sometimes find myself in a desperate state of triage. Last week was brutal in that regard. It’s also due to the fact that my customers seem to conspire against me. Either there are no jobs in sight, or they all call at the same time, preferably with very urgent stuff. I’m well aware with the great saying that “a lack of planning on your side does not constitute an emergency on my side”. But whoever said that was on a fixed salary and not a freelancer, haha.

Anyway, while my time management sucks, at least I’m punctual. If I have an appointment at 14:00, I’ll be there at 13:59. And I always meet my deadlines. Now that I think about it, I guess it’s the bad time management in combination with being punctual that’s causing my stress… Hm. So two negatives would cancel each other out! I guess I just got why Chuck is almost always in a good mood, haha!

Hunh! And I thought it was Chuck’s ego that kept him in a good mood…

    Hi there,
I can so relate to you and Chuck. I always procrastinate to the last minute. Eventually I get it done more or less on and in time, but the stress level is rather high. I always thought this has something to to with wether you like what you supposed to do or not, but I even push something along I actually like.
So I haven’t figured it out completely – probably never will.
Having said that, I wish you all a nice weekend or whats left of it anyway.
    Harro, 🛩😎

I’ve come to the conclusion that the phrase, “I have time” is almost always guaranteed to result in tardiness. All I need to do is think it, and I’m in a losing race with the clock and my destination.
