So, I got this bird feeder up the other day because I really like the little finches we have and how their singing sounds in the morning when I wake up.
It also attracts house sparrows, mocking birds and mourning doves.
But this morning I had Sally and Alex in my yard, just hanging out with the other birds!
I said "Honey, I think we have a chicken in the yard." and she said "A chicken? Yeah right." probably thinking "What is this idiot up to now first thing in the morning" as she rolls over.....
I did leave the gate to the side yard open last night. I guess they just walked in off the street or something.....
Or maybe they were out for a night on the strip and got lost. Who knows?
Now, here is why this is funny. I live smack dab in the middle of Las Vegas, just South of Mc Carran airport in a little housing complex, not on a farm....
What kind of chicken are they btw? New Hampshire Reds? or Red Stars?
