Actually in researching John Monnett for the bio I'm working on about him and his airplanes I ran across some interesting stuff. Those of you who have been around for a while may remember his original company, Monnett Experimental Aircraft and their Sassy Grass Green colored airplanes (Sonerais especially). Well, photos of the company booth and things at Oshkosh from the 70s show the employees often clad in clothing of that same color, or at least as close as their spouses could find. I asked his wife Betty where she got the stuff, and she just laughed and said it wasn't hard to find in the early 70s. Sure looks rather "loud" now though!
