Do I even have an avatar?  Well, lets see. :P

I guess you know the saying "Good things come to those who wait"!  :) Well here's the avatar requested by fireflyr! Hope you like it! I just couldn't resist putting some fire in the picture... and just after I was finished I noticed that I made bird out of you, while so far all the others were human... hmm... funny, it seems that drawing chickens comes naturally to me!

That being said, How do I make it come up on a reply?

Humor me here, I'm illiterate on this computer thingy.

Thanks, Jim

Hi Jim! I thought I'd set it up for you... If you want to choose it somewhere else, I think you'd have to save it somewhere on your computer and then upload it again (to wherever you want to use it). Right now the image file is on our server, so it should be safe until the next serious update! ;)

Fantastic Stef!
I just switched to cable today and I've barely got this thing running so I'll get one of my grandsons over soon to show me how to get it!!

Thanks again and don't lose it---I'm pleased and excited--which at my age doesn't happen enough.

Hey Jim!

You can also save your new avatar by right-clicking one of the two pictures in my brothers post and then just click on "save picture as".
That way you can save it somewhere as a jpeg-file. (if you want)...

Well... I don't see this as a big threat... Many people already have a cool avatar anyway! The worst thing that can happen is somebody asking for it and I go "sorry, got no time" or "maybe later..."  ;)

Hey, can I have one? Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze? I've made contributions to the forum, bought the book and two shirts! And linked the site from my Yahoo360 page. And told people about it. Let's see, anything I've forgotten about in this blatant attempt to brown nose? No, I think I covered everything.

I've always imagined a Turbomallard avtar as a grimacing duck wearing goggles with turbojet engines under each wing shooting through the sky...

Actually, kinda sad that that's all I aspire to, but hey, I'm realistic. You take what life hands you. And, frankly, anyone who gets to fly an aircraft is one lucky SOB. As John Monnett put it to me: Out of all of human history, to be born now and in a place where you can learn to fly, be lucky enough to afford it... the odds are astronmomical. Win the lottery? We've already won it!

Hey Turbomallard! Wow, you sound like a real fan!! Of course you'll get an avatar... seems like that's the least we can do!  :) But I'm terribly busy this week, so you'll have to be patient! Give me a week (or maybe two)! So, should I draw the duck with a brown nose then?!  ;D

Hey, no rush... I'm just very appreciative of your time. As for the "beak" yellow would be more appropriate... but I suppose it could be fixed in Photoshop by me if it's the wrong color (I LOVE technology (especially when it works)!)

So, here you go! :D
I turned the two engines into one backpacked one... thought this would look cooler. I enjoyed drawing this motive so much, I made a bigger version and created a desktop from it! I will upload it shortly in our "various stuff" section as soon as I find the time!

Hope you like it! ;D

Glad you like it!  :D Like I said, I really enjoyed drawing it! If you want to have this duck as a wallpaper, go to the "various stuff" section. I just uploaded it!

Wow! That's got to be one of the coolest personal avatars I've ever seen! Fantastic drawing :) And btw don't worry I'm not asking for one, I have no bird I identify with anyway.
