I do have to say the strip looks familiar, the multiple strips on the subject must explain it... 
You might have seen this week's strip, as well as the one that Frank mentioned in Trade A Plane!
@ Frank: Like Mike mentioned, it's almost impossible for us to control when which magazine will print which strip. We always send them some that haven't been published on our website yet, but a few months after that we quite often use one of these here.
Even if it might come to some of you as a shock, I have to be honest with you: Chicken Wings is not intended as a work of reference for aeronautical questions! It's a comic strip with chickens! Although we like to be conclusive and authentic, we shamelessly sacrifice logic and quite a lot of other things for a good laugh anytime!

Oh, and as for the Roost Air fleet, as far as I know it consists of a Cessna 172, a Piper PA-23 Atztec, a de Havilland DHC-6 Twin Otter and a Hughes 500. I sometimes draw Chuck in a Pitts or an Extra, but that's only for some pictures where you have to be able to see his face.
