Yeah, we thought we'd just throw that one out there, even one day early than usual, and see if we get a reaction. Looks like it worked!!

"Ray" (my brother just wrote a post on the home page as well, so there isn't too much confusion) is the mechanic of the FBO next door. They will have a pilot and a mechanic. Ray will be kind of from the south with an accent and the pilot...
...well, that's still a secret!

The whole thing is due to the animation project where we had to come up with a few additional characters to create more, as they call it, "conflicts". The Chicken Wings family is actually pretty big, but they might not all show up on the strips. Our closest family is still our favorite. The only regular 'guest star' is Jason (those of you who bought the book know him).
We are working on so many ideas at the same time and are actually at least a year ahead of what you see here just to satisfy the contracts we have with certain magazines where they pay for new and unpublished strips and such things. It's hard for me sometimes because as soon as I come up with a great strip I want to show it to everybody right away. But then my brother has to draw them first, then they go on a list that tells us where and when it get's published and so on...
...it's almost like working, heh heh! ;)

But the good thing is: We'll be around for a long time!!!
Even if we quit today, you guys would have at least one more book and two more years of fun coming.
Not bad, huh?!

What kind of duck is this new guy? Is the other FBO all run by ducks? How fast do they fly? Does their stall speed change if they lose feathers? Don't they get tired flapping thier wings when they fly? How do they learn not to land downwind? Do their feet act like spoilers if they stick them out while flying?

I hope the new character doesn't look too much like a Loon.
What do you think, Sleek?

He doesn't have red eyes... and a Loon whould have dove for cover.  ;D

Hey, you know, a seaplane operator would be a good Loon character... just a thought.  ;D
