Chuck moves out of the flying pan and...
« on: March 13, 2007, 12:45:07 PM »
Hoooooo boy! Could Chuck dig himself a bigger hole with her after this? I can't imagine he could, but I'm sure that he will find a way!

It would be interesting if Julio gets the girl to have him talk her into "working" with Chuck to improve his standing with women. E.g., role playing wherein she (against her will but as a favor to Julio) gives lessons on how to talk to women in a civilized manner instead of his using usual pickup lines. Chuck, of course, wouldn't really understand the idea and (innocently) continue to say things that would be turnoffs and/or offensive... she would then get angry at him while he would be confused with her reaction!

TM: I agree! but our imagination doesn't need to figure it out as long as Stef and Mike can  |:)\

Velo:  ::rofl:: Great one!

Just to confirm things, it's pretty much a done deal that the pilot-chick is the owner right? A open cockpit tail-dragging bi-plane, now that's class!!  |:)\
I was wondering, is she inspired by a real person? And if so, is she available?

Aw, man. That orange biplane I posted in Name That ???? would have been perfect for her.
It had a 600+ hp Pratt, and hopped off the ground like it was allergic to it. The sound was pretty impressive, too.
I have a little video footage of it. After I upload it, I may see about putting it on Youtube or Google.

I do have other pics of OB, and in the camera's high-res format too.
If anyone wants to see 'em, let me know.

Ouch....

On the bright side, I've known some girls that would have taken that comment as a weird and awkward compliment, as he's implying that a girl that would own that plane would be too good to be true if she didn't have some extreme flaw to compensate for it.

Well I wish all the BOZOS out there could be lumped into "weird and awkward" but unfortunately most of them can't.    :D

And if you think that is just MY reaction, you should hear the GUYS I fly around.  I've had to hold them back more than once.  I wish I had added up all the times over the years....  No joke.  And yes, I mean really hold them back.   ::rambo::

Ah, your Mom was smart DonYan, but then, that is no surprise!   ;)

At least Chuck is trying to be NICE...  that isn't always the case....   ::loony::

Oh but it's so much more entertaining when we have these people to mess with!!!!    It keeps us laughing all year long.   Heh heh.   ::whistle::

What do you mean by everything was electrical?

I wasn't aware of an aircraft having all or even many electrical controls (outside of fighters) before Airbus started with it.   Transport category aircraft have traditionally had mechanical linkages to engine controls, mechanical engine governors and control surfaces (or at least mechanical backups).

Sorry, just kind of confused here.

Ah, Always, which was supposed to be a remake of A Guy Named Joe, which I have yet to see.
Always may be a bit corny, but it's still a pretty darned good movie. It has it all: comedy, tragedy, romance, action...
and most importantly, airplanes!
I'm sure there are some technical issues with the flick, but I still enjoy it every time I see it.

Boeing 377 Stratocruiser?

The transport version, had a single deck fuselage, but that seems it ::thinking::
DonYan ::wave::

But I thought those ones were all fly by cable anyway?   IE, no electrical controls....   maybe electrical fire so they couldn't stay on the air?
