I had one name in my mind the instant I saw that picture: Fairy Delta! Edit: Hmm, the nose is too short, maybe it's a related model?

The one in the background is definitely a Cessna.  It's hard to tell, but I don't see any wing struts, so...straight legged Cardinal?

Manufacturer is correct, but it is not Cardinal...

Was going to guess you were sitting in a Beech 18, but the pics I've found of their interiors don't match.

The Cessna looks like a 172.  Definitely a "Second Generation" Cessna as it has the swept tail and is not a straight back.
The average pilot, despite the sometimes swaggering exterior, is very much capable of such feelings as love, affection, intimacy and caring. These feelings just don't involve anyone else.

Doesn't seem to have a long enough "turtle back" for a 210 centurion.  We had one at Alaska Flying Network, but I never flew it.  It honestly looks like a 172 or 182, hard to tell from this angle.  Might also be a 175 which was a 172 with a GO300 Continental.  Almost bought one that had been re-engined with a 220hp Franklin.  Then I heard of the Franklin's rep.

Damn I KNEW I was forgetting a twin plane!  Twin Bonanza....was on the tip of my forebrain and couldn't remember the name!
