OK DonYan,

Here it is......

The Mighty Sipa 200 Minijet ;D French Designed and made, they only made 7 of lil' fellas,  here's a quote i found

"The SIPA 200 Minijet was a single engine jet, twin boom, two seat that was designed following a request for proposal from the SALS (a French government body in charge or reorganizing General Aviation after WWII). Its primary functions were liaison, training and aerobatics.

Powered by one Turbomeca Palas of 350 pounds of thrust, the S200 made its first flight on January 14th, 1952. With a maximum takeoff weight of 1850 pounds, its thrust to weight ratio was not very good, and its performances paled in comparison with the Morane and Fouga. Only seven prototypes of the S200 were built. Two of them remain in flightworthy condition today: one in the US, the other in France.

The SIPA 200 was designed by Yves Gardan"

Wot fun!!!  I wouldn't mind having a go at an R/C model of this one :P

Now i'm off to find out about your new post........................

I´ll have to take a trip to Alaskan Airports, they seem to be Flying Museums... ::bow:: then go to Australia! ::bow:: Name the Lady, no problem. Wonder why other flyers on this forum didn´t recognize this one at once... ??? ??? ???

Fairchild C-123 Provider, the one in Alaska is affectionatly known as "Con Air" for her role in that movie.  Awsome classic cargo.   |:)\

The C123 was also used in Air America, which was a lot more entertaining than ConAir.   ;)

When the snow stops, I'll get some pics of a couple of artifacts on the field here at KBDE.  They shouldn't stump anyone, but they are interesting.

This might stump a few of you.

It might be a few days until I'm back on line, so we'll see.

I'll poke around next time I'm in Georgia.   I have some pictures on a CD and some on my old desktop (which is in pieces) that you very well may never have seen before.    I have a few that are from supposed the only photographs in existance of the aircraft in them.  Since the one who had the originals is the one who gave me the electronic copies, they aren't easy to find.  ;)

Alright, Brian got me.  The problem with military aircraft is that they are not obscure enough.  Someone somewhere knows who and what they are.  None the less, I had hopes.

These probably won't be too tough, but we do have a little piece of history here at Baudette.  These are two derelicts that live just off the ramp.  Good luck.

First one is definitly a Norseman, there's one still operating commercially on floats here in Alaska.  The second I'm guessing is a PA-12 or 14 Cub Cruiser.

Excellent.  The first one is a Norseman.  The second is a Piper, but it's not a 4-place.  None of the Piper guesses are correct so far.

Check out Noorduyn Norseman on Google.

Second one is not a PA-18.  Think more rare.

It's a PA-11.  Basically a J-3 with an enclosed cowl instead of the eyebrows.

Is it just me or does the right wing of the PA-12 have some damage on the tip?

Ahh, didn't realize there was a difference in the jury struts.  I'll have to keep my eyes open for that.  Of course it's been so long since I've seen a stock cub of any kind.   >:(  Most here have been retrofitted with PA-18 wings and tails, extended landing gear, huge tires, bigger engines and the list goes on and on...
