Welcome back TM, nice to hear from you, and nice entry! Is that really a complete plane? I don't see the cockpit anywhere. Some bits and pieces seem a bit more modern than the design-type would seem to indicate but maybe that's because they had to be replaced due to wear and tear?

Yes, it is a complete plane... not a good picture, sorry. Note the smaller version/model next to it... it has a model pilot in it which shows where the seat is. This airplane was indeed home made in the 1920s by a high school student and it barely flew... or actually I should say hardly flew... (how's that for some hints?). This is a replica constructed from descriptions from the original builder, who went on design some other airplanes that flew much better than this one.
