Sure this isn't photo shopped?  Has to be that or Russian, they are the only ones that would think something up like this....

I already ID'ed it, I recognized it right away (how couldn't I after having seen it even just once). Mil V-12 aka Mi-12 NATO-name: Homer. And it did fly. Both pods, engines and rotors are from the Mi-6 and the 12 set world-lift record-records. At least 2 were made.

1972 A-90 "Orlenok" and yes it is indeed an ekranoplan or what in english is called a Wing-In-Ground vehicle.

Yeah, I wasn't exactly sure how you say/spell that. Cool machine, but I wonder if it would be categorized as an aircraft or a watercraft?  ??? Also, what ratings would you need to fly it?
