Hey, I posted that in the chat a few days ago, and I thought it was a DC-3 too until I read the name and it didn't mention that anywhere.

Bara: That's one scary pilot! Aren't you supposed to have a sort-of reasonable knowledge of planes to tell the speed and size of them when flying near an airport etc or does that only apply to controllers? Drivers in DK are taught to know that some cars can't accelerate as fast as others, both the car they drive and the other cars on the road, however no-one drives by that anymore but airplanes vary a lot more in size and performance so I thought it'd be required simply because it was so important.

Gibbo: Cool plane! I'm stumped too, I can't even begin to guess what part of the world it's from!

I just found a cool picture so if I may I'll post a parallel Name That Plane picture if I may.

 ::type:: HHHHEEEEEYYYYYY THAT'S MY AERO CLUB!!!  YAY!! ::rofl:: That particular plane hasn't been around for about 4 months..shows you how behind the 8 ball google earth are.  My lips are sealed though Frank...ssssshh i won;t tell 'em ;) OH and the wind sock has moved too ;)....If i see that plane again i'll snap a few of it for yall!!

Wow, I thought it was an edited photo  ::unbelieveable::

Gibbo: Yes, I was looking around to find your intro-thread and didn't find it and then I found your intro-post in the 4 Questions thread and saw your picture from Google and I thought I'd take a closer look to see how Australia looks and then I found that interesting machine and after having posted something like this here now I decided to just play around instead and see if you'd recognize it, and you did, the place that is, not the plane. I've looked some more and it wasn't the one I thought it might since the VariViggen's main wings are much different as is the rest of it compared to the EZ-series so maybe it's a variation? Btw, where can you see a wind-sock? I can't.

Hi Ya Frank,

I have circled the OLD windsock, it is now just past the end of the arrow I drew (albeit badly).  Yeap I knew that view straight away, being as how I see it every Sunday  :D (except this one :( ) on my way back in to rejoin for runway 07....

That plane is actually a Velocity SE FG, don't know quite why it is parked there, I thought that was not a designated park zone, there again I may be wrong, but we will never know now because that whole area is currently being ripped up for .... ::thinking::....new parking areas,  so that would mean that it is indeed parked in the correct area....i think  ::loony:: ;D

PS I'll snap a few shots of the Velocity if I see it again...it's not out and about all that much.
