Just found out one was field converted and was called XCG-47

Well beer dousing and strippers for the Scot!! It is indeed the XCG-17 Glider version. Hence why I said it was missing two very important pieces of equipment, the engines!  :D

nope, this one doesn't have the wing bracing of the Ryan. The era is correct though...
hints: there's only 1 ever built of this aircraft, has been outfitted with 2 different engines, the strongest of which was weaker than the ryan's weakest engine
