Yes, it was a nice plane.  Miss Ashley II came apart in the air during the `99 air races at Reno.  :'(  Pilot was the only fatality.  It was a new construction, the fuselage was built from P-51H plans, the wings and horizontal were from a Lear Jet and the Engine was a Rolls Royce Griffon, larger and more powerfull than the Merlin engine and using conter rotating props.

Glad to help you on your "learning" and yeap Supermarine Type 224  ::bow:: , looks like they tore the wings of a Stuka and put on it  ;D ... interesting how they went basically from this design straight to the Spity!!!

According to Rag Wings and Heavy Iron, the Bf108 Taifun is a really fun airplane. The author (Martin Caidin) was involved in the CAF and their
use of the 108 as an airshow fighter.
