Not near as cool as those airplanes, but here is the moonrise from the old farm driveway here tonight...  frogs peeping and quail talking...  a pretty night in Idaho.

Er... peeping frogs? If I found a bunch of frogs at my windows watching me it would kinda creep me out!  ::eek::

TM
Probably freak the frogs out too (EEEEUW--looky, a duck in bikini underwear  ::unbelieveable:: ::sick::)

OOOH, you guys are CRAZY!!    ::loony::

Of COURSE there are peeping frogs --  and you know, it takes quite a bunch of them, what with a dozen or so needed just to hold the ladder still so the others can look in.    ;D

 :D
Don't make me come back there!!!!

Two of my favorite pics from Washington State.  The first was taken from over Mt Rainier, and the second is of Mt Adams with Mt Rainier in the background.  This was in August of '05, and there was still plenty of snow and glaciers on top of both volcanoes.

Enjoy!

Great pics Gil.  Wish I could get a chance to go to Wright-Pat someday.

Did you get a chance to view the XB70 they have there?  Please post pics of it if you have 'em!

lets just call this "Room with a View"  it was my wake-up call this morning.  OK, I was actually on my way out the door for Young Eagles when I heard the lovely rumble of twin radials idling.

And in Motion!

We had a long night last night at work and as I walked in the door to work this morning I finally figured out why I had a nagging feeling that I'd missed something I was supposed to do on my way to work.

Been aggravated about that all day.  I'd been looking forward to finally being able to make it to a fly in breakfast.   Is this the only one this year?   I got spoiled in Mid TN... the local EAA chapter has one every single month.  I'll miss this month's by a day or so as I have to go to TN next week but I need to be there on weekdays, not the weekend when the breakfast is.

Tundra,
That's a million dollar view   WOWEEE!!  And a Bamboo Bomber too ::unbelieveable::
What other interesting airplanes are based there?
Do you ever take Tundratoy over to let her visit with her wooden many-motor grandma?

What was actually frustrating for me was the fact that I couldn't see from your video shot whether the old Cessna Bobcat actually made it into the air or not.  That kinda makes your video a neo-mystery...  whether the airplane actually made it to its destination or not!  Hehe.  We could actually have the start of yet another urban legend!   ::eek::

Thanks ::bow:: ::bow:: Glad you liked them!!

No unfortunatley I didn't get a chance to see it. I think it was in the Presidential hangar, and I didn't get a chance to get there. It's true what the people say. You can't see the museum in a day. I was there from opening to closing, and although I was able to see all the airplanes in the main building, I wasn't able read all the displays. It is a BIG BIG museum!!
