As much as I appreciate turbine engines, they sound so wimpy compared to a bid radial :-\

give me a good piston engine either in line or radial or even rotary in that case over a turbine engine they sound all the same anyway jsut a whine while pistons roar or growl

I have to say I have never seen soooo many pilots lining the edge of the ramp just watching (and as oddball said, drooling) as that Beaver did about 4 touch and go circuits.  I think the pilot was doing Float/Beaver endorsement, then they went over to the bay and where doing sea landings over there  ::complaining: BUT WE COULDN'T SEE IT!!!!!  Darn trees!!!  :D

Once I win the Lottery, I want to buy a round engine airplane.  My father owned a Cessna 195 for years, and I flew with him on occasion in it.  Dang it, I miss that old Beer-Barrell Cessna! 

Ground school has gone very well.  Sim sessions commence tomorrow.  Too bad I'm doing jets instead of round engines, but I am in this for the money after all.   ::whistle::

This is true but helicopter PILOTS start whining on shut down and their "poots" are definitely NOT lady-like ::sick:: ::complaining: ::rofl::
