Greetings All

I know you're probably sick of my models, but I love posting them. THis model is a 1/48 scale Lancaster. ALthough I've already posted a similiar model, this Lanc is Hercules engine powered Lanc. When there was a possiblity of a shortage of RR Merlin engines, a Lancaster was modiifed to encompass the radial engine. Although more powerful, it was heavier, required more fuel, and couldn't operate at the higher altitudes as the merlin powered lancaster. Nevertheless more than 300 were built, and mostly assigned to Canadian Squadrons.  ::banghead::

Nevertheless The Canucks persivered in their use of the Lancasters.

Enjoy the Pics

Mike: Awesome picture!

Velo: After seeing that nice bike then I started thinking, isn't there a bike called something similar to your nick?

Soccermom: Great picture, although I'd prefer to have that Gunship in front of me personally :D

Gil: I'm not tired, I'm just amazed how some people can create such good looking models. Tough about the modified inferior Lanc's though.

Thanks Frank ::bow:: ::bow::
Ironically the Mk 2 Lanc was also modified to carry a heavier bomb. So thats what I've done on this one as well.

One of the original French bicycle designs was called the velocipede. Since then, the prefix 'velo' is usually used to denote something
bicycle related.
