Uh... Leah?  Why on earth were you landing on a Golf Course!?!?  Were you trying to avoid paying the Greens Fees???   ::thinking::

Nice shots all the way around, but methinks you are a wannabe Bush Pilot.   ::rofl::

Heh, we don't have enough BUSH in little Wales.  More of a shrubbery... ;-)

The owner likes aeroplanes (he's got a Piper Cub but doesn't fly much anymore) and the golfers don't seem to mind.  I used to go there when Iw as little and watch the aeroplanes.  I promised myself i'd land there when I learned to fly, and now I do!

Ahhh a "new" minivan I see.. And you might want to move her--I'm sure it cant be healthy to sit too close to "that" building.. ::whistle:: ::whistle::

Met up with a couple of jumpers here in Oscoda..doing a detail as Dozer Boss of all things..

Actually, you're right on..  it ISN'T healthy to be too close to the building...  we're all in the process of being moved to various spots around the base....  apparently the building was deemed "un-earthquake-worthy", so the outer walls are to be torn down this summer and replaced.....  we'll all be cast-out vagabonds next week, so are hoping that we'll hit the road soon and not have to even worry about that.    ;)

When I first transferred here many moons ago, I flew with a hilarious guy who was on the phone one day, trying to describe how to find us here at the base.  He was getting frustrated, trying to describe the usual maze of twisty streets that you always find near an airport.

He finally said "Just keep driving until you see a big tall building that looks like 'The El Paso Natural Gas Company'...  that's it!"

I STILL think of him whenever I see the "flame"....   ::rofl::

And no, it's not a new Minivan -- it's the same good old trusty girl I usually get.  When she got a new paint job this spring, she also got a new N-number....  we're still J-25....   ;D

I knew you would ask that--I cannot remember their names--will try to find out tonight. So why a new tail #? Did'nt like the old one or what?

Okayy....  none of our guys are out, at least back there (lots of them are out on burning details)....  if they're young pups, I probably don't know them anyway...   :D

And as for the new N-number, it's basically to get all of the owner's fleet more standardized....  we had another jump plane change a couple of years ago when it got its new paint job, too....  it may confuse people when our callsign no longer matches our n-number, but using this new number wouldn't work, either, so....  not much choice on that part of it.

"Two-Five..."  over and out good buddy  ::wave::

Hi Mom!

I can tell you where the minivan is NOT going this week!
It hasn't rained in Ely for two months until . . . . Jane got there.
Caliente and Panaca may warm up by the end of this week though

as i live in a very fieldy area,i see them everyday, once my bus and on of these raced, the bus won.

Wheee another golf course...

Went airstrip hopping with a tent and a crowd of mates this weekend.  Prettypretty places prettypretty aeroplanes.  Lots of food loots of friendly people.  Good stuff this flying lark...  ;)

Beware of G-DOGG...

Eggesford.  I've decided this must be where good pilots go when they die...

Yes it's really the hangar not a museum...  Everything flies.
