Life Through Your Camera
« on: January 24, 2007, 05:56:23 AM »
Ok, so this is the only forum I really post in, however I troll several others.  In one there is a thread with this name.  People post pictures of all kinds of things, their family, flowers, whatever they find interesting.  So I figure Ill start one here.  Ill kick it off with a few of my own.  Feel free to add as many as you want.

I love the flower one, and also the massive old tree.  Very nice!!

And, that one of Freddie Fender on the Alaska Airlines tail is pretty good, too.       :)

Very nice pictures  :) I've been lucky to have gotten a few good pictures of some of the nicer looking areas around here as well, I'll see if I can upload them later tonight, it shows some nice sides of Denmark (and I'll focus on the summer ones as contrast to the blizzard we're having now).

This is what a timber fire looks like, usually...  this was in northern Nevada last summer.  We dropped our 8 after another jump plane had delivered his 8.

WOW, what a Goose!  Don't let TurboMallard see this!!!   :D

That's a great shot.

UNDATC, we dropped both loads down in the drainage below the fire, it was probably about a mile walk to the fire.

And Frank, there were a couple of ladies there that day -- but I'd sure like to see that unlimited credit card for the fuel.   ;)   ;)

I'll try to add something here. that's a picture taken in Porto Venere, Italy, by night, two summers ago!
I give that landing a 9 . . . on the Richter scale.

Happy, that is such a pretty shot!  This sounds silly, but I could almost hear the Italian music and smell the water on the warm evening breeze.   :)

Maybe that's a sign of mild cabin fever here?!?      ::wave::

Plus, imagine that the place is called Porto Venere, that, translated to English would be "Venus Harbour"....and imagine that you just had had a wonderful evening out with you beloved, and eaten an incredible seafood plate and drunk some good wine, enough to be mildly drunk! And add that, the region was well known in the past by all the romantic poets and Shelley and Byron had walked the same streets...and the evening is still long...yes, it's a pretty shot, but the place was magic! :) :)  ::rofl:: ::rofl::

I will add something completely different here. the center of a small village in Perthshire Scotland. Another place, another mood!
