Ummm....Mike, I think great minds must think alike.  I built this 2 years ago.   ::banghead::

Hey Phil,  where'd you go to put a boat in water?!   We all know that in Alaska everything is frozen over all year!  ;)

I built it from a Dumas Mini Cruiser kit.  They disconntinued it, so the kit was only $20, couldn't resist.   ::)

I gotta get myself something like that!

Going to Arkansas in March for almost a month and our helibase will be right next to a lake. . .

Well, looks like they haven't run out of kits yet :)  Though the parts fit was so poor I wish I'd just got a set of plans and scratch built it.

that Gee Bee looks like fun.  We have one hanging in flight ops from our ceiling.  I think its a Gee Bee at least.  Maybe gulf knows exactly what it is.

Definitely a Gee Bee on that website...I was just in Flight Ops a few weeks ago, but didn't notice a model hanging there...Maybe I just missed it.  It's a very distinctive bird.  I'm sure you'd be right about the type there, UNDATC.

No not the model, the full sized plane that is in flight ops.  The big yellow one, hard to miss.

Is it back by records?  Not sure what you're refering to, I guess.

When you walk in the front door of flight ops, and look up, there is an actual plane hanging there.  Its yellow, wooden prop.  Kinda hard to miss since its like 16 feet long and about the same wide.

Oh, that thing.  Completely forgot about that.  I don't think that's a Gee Bee...I used to know at one time.
