Take a look at this thing. I found it for Flight Simulator but since it had a real name I searched for it online and found this page http://avia.russian.ee/helicopters_eng/west_wg33-r.html
I for one would not like to fly that. ::rofl:: ::silly::

Tried to find my declassified pictures of the US built flying saucers (lifting body).  They do have vertical stabs.     Picture has 3 of them, large in the center flanked forward by two smaller (smaller ones are 50 ft across IIRC, larger one was 200 ft).  flanking the two smaller ones is a pair of F-86s.    They made quite a number of them during testing, and they'd fly in formations.  ;)

Pictures seem to be on my old desktop, will have to assemble the thing in GA and get the pictures off of it to post some day.
