That's what you get trying to buzz the tower without wiring ahead - it creates tension, a pressure to perform and a shocking degree of disregard for safety.  Eventually the pilot is grounded with no outlet for their high energy antics.  I currently see no way to transform the minuses to pluses in any event ... ah, a light bulb lit above my head - we will direct the current crop to alternating fields by magnetic course and rectify the situation before someone blows a fuse.

This picture has created quite a buzz. At least it's not as reVOLTing as some of the ELECTRIC-mail that is WIRED to me. I try to post CURRENT pictures, that I find would create a SPARK of discussion. I find that if I HANG around my computer all day, I'll find something that will ELECTRIFY everyone's sense of conversation (if that makes any sense at all). But I'm happy about all the ENERGY that this conversatiion piece has JOLTED out of everyone!  :P

Not to DISCONNECT myself from this CORE of this discussion, but to TRANSFORM it back to it's PRIMARY topic, - overhead power lines have a very strong, solid steel core, and are strung at tremendous tension.  They will easily slice through aircraft sheet metal before breaking.  On a different PHASE, I wonder how much resistance the typical Cessna has?

OK, now you can feel free to ALTERNATE back and forth to any SECONDARY topics you choose.  It's been STIMULATING so far.

Looks like a Seneca that won't be flying again---and that's OK as long as people walked away from the accident--airplanes can be replaced. |:)\

***LATEST NEWS REGARDING THIS CRASH***
Investigators found out, that the pilot forgot his credit card. So he just added the fuel he could pay in cash.... obviousely it wasn't enough to reach the next airport... clever man |:)\

mmm probably walked away.

UND had a similar occurance about 10 years ago so im told...

A student was trying to impress his girl friend and took out one of our old katana's.  He took it down low over the red river right through the middle of town, and as he started to climb out, he didnt notice a 3 inch cable running across the river where the old rail road bridge was.  Sliced the top of his tail off.  He made it back to the airport, about 5 miles west and landed it.  The FAA yanked all of his ratings, I believe he was about to get his CFI too... :-[

Well hellsbells, That just proves them FA&A boys got no sense of humor anymore!
Actually, the guy was lucky and I hope, if he really loves aviation, that he'll return to it---some folks just need a second chance :)

There's a DE out in Montana that used to do all kinds of crazy stuff (flew pattern upside down, etc.), and after getting all of his tickets yanked twice, they decided he could do less damage as a DE.
