Like any other airline, firearms are declared and tucked into checked luggage. Actually, ammo can go in the same locked case as the firearm, but always should be in a box, such as it would have been purchased in. We carry rifles on a regular basis, but they must be in the standard locked cases. Bear spray also must be declared because it needs to go in a sealed container in the cargo hold in case of accidental discharge. I discourage you from any ideas of carrying a firearm onto the aircraft. Just because we aren't going to screen you doesn't mean we wouldn't take issue with a firearm if we found out.
TBO varies by operator, I believe this would be one of those numbers I'm not supposed to really talk about.
