Yeah I would definately reccomend you guys get involved.  I personally prefer the cadet program because I like helping the younger cadets.  That's mostly because I have more experience there, but I also see that there's more to do then in the senior side.

I'd love to work with the Cadet program, but it's a fair drive to the nearest squadron for me (Birchwood).  I'd also love to help with the EAA Young Eagles program, but the local chapter is more builder focused then anything else.  I tried getting some stuff started when I was an EAA member but it' didn't work out.  Saw some nice planes being built though!
The average pilot, despite the sometimes swaggering exterior, is very much capable of such feelings as love, affection, intimacy and caring. These feelings just don't involve anyone else.

That sucks that your so far from anything.  We had the same problem in Ely until we were able to get enough people to start a squadron.  Don't know if thats an option but good luck anyway.
