This day is approaching once again.

be heading off for the local rememberance services tommorrow morning.

I have my poppy and will be going to watch the Remembrance Sunday parade in town.

It's that time of year again. I hope you will all pause to take a moment to thank our veterans and those who never came back.

My dad oncle fought during WWII. He never spoke about it until a few years ago. He made the effort to revive those moments, tell those things so they are not forgotten. It took the guy 70+ years to talk about it but he remember everything like it was yesterday. If you could ear and see the eyes of this veteran when he talk about it...

I never know what to say but until I find somethig better: "thanks you".

This was the first year my daughter discussed the subject with me.  In the USA we call it "Veterans Day."  We were driving along the ocean in southern California on I5 through Camp Pendleton, and we could see several warships steaming offshore that were supporting a Marine Amphibious Assult excersice.  I pointed out to her the ships, helos, and landing craft in the water and what it was they were practicing.  It got a bit complicated, but she then said today was Veterans Day.  I told her she was correct; it is a day to remember those who fought and died for us all.  She said back to me, "You're a Veteran."  All I could say in reply was, "Yes I am, but I didn't die."  I didn't know what more I could say to a 6.5 year old girl.

Thanks to all who fought to preserve our freedom and our countries.

Was at the local memorial yesterday was a poor turn out no officals just passer by's but will be going to the memorial service on Sunday and laying a Poppy cross.

Although they're not my country's veterans, americans (and lots of others) who fought and still fighting, is affecting directly the security of Israel,and for this I salute them.

There was at least one Israeli pilot in the R.A.F during the Battle of Britain 4X

Jew pilot maybe, Israel wasn't officially founded until '48, Jews serving abroad is common, since there's lot's of us everywhere.

Tradition is a funny thing when you think about it. Tradition teaches us that those who gave their lives are more valuable than the ones who didn't. I know I felt guilty for not going to the sandbox for a few years after Fallujah.
