What I find funny is that they gave english subtitles to everything that was spoken in english!  It makes me wonder if the person that posted it thought it was necessary to subtitle this stuff so rednecks could understand the english accents?   ::thinking::  If so, it was wasted effort as most rednecks can't read anyway!

R/C this kind of funny shorts are often used in teaching English, so a wild guess - but maybe it is subtitled for better understanding of learners? e.g. what you cant hear, you can read, what you cant read you can hear and meanwhile you learn how to say the written
words/spell the heard words. Would also explain why the Italian Captain part was not subtitled - to distinguish it from proper english...
