Gee, my reaction to watching gyrocopters flying is; WHY BOTHER??? ???

I mean, they are not capable of vertical performance or hovering like a helicopter, they have only a small payload, they are very slow traveling machines, and they are dismally inefficient.   :-[

I don't know, I think they're pretty cool. True, they don't have eye-catching performance and they are pretty slow, but I think that they were built mostly for low, slow 'n fun flying in the first place anyway, so they suit their job well. Don't they have pretty good STOL capabilities too?

I want to second Zaffex here! It looks really fun to fly! You can probably go at very low altitutes and enjoy the scenery. That's one of the reasons why I like flying helicopters better than planes, because you can see more stuff pretty close.

I have one question though: Has any one ever flown such a thing? I suppose it steers more like a plane than a helicopter, right? What kind of license do you need for this? Uh, okay, that was not one, but three questions...  ;D

Hello guys and girls!
So then: I didn't  fly such a thing, but I would like to!!!!!
I found a school in Germany wich offers trainings on that "things". It's quite easy if you already have a PPL: A theotetical exam and about 25 hours....

I think I'll do that!!! What's about you Happy??

Boy! What's that? An invitation to spend 25 hrs together?!?!?  ;) ;) ;) ;)  Jokes apart, I will think about it, but I first have to find a job to pay for it!!!
