A little video I made of the Breitling Super Constellation HB-RSC shaking the ground between 2 rain showers and the mountains...  :)

Beautiful video, and beautiful plane! ;)

I've always loved the Connie, I always thought of it as the 747/A380 of the 40s/50s (as the DC-3 was the 737/A320 of the 40s/50s).
I should have been at the Sion Air Show, unfortunately I had exams in university :(

Ouch, too bad... although quite frankly with the weather we had you probably didn't miss so much!! Still have to finish editing my photos...

Yeah very nice plane, these oldies really have "something"... I actually got to fly on a DC-3 in 2010, that was really great!

Nice shots!
One question though: are the historical planes (Mirage and Hunters) preserved by the Swiss Air Force or by privates?

They are all maintained by private associations. The Mirage and one of the Hunters belong to Espace Passion in Payerne. The second Hunter (the one I flew on, my avatar) belongs to Amici Dell'Hunter in Sion.

BTW, added more pics today ;)

Nice! The connie is a great aircraft indeed. We've got an airworthy one here in Holland too, but sadly there's no crew to fly it and the costs of flight are too high, so it hasn't flown in years... :S
