Check out what our friend Rob, the Tumbling Bear, rhymed for us!
(remember him from the "bear with me" strips?)
Twas the night before ChristmasTwas the night before Christmas
and on the hangar floors
the choppers all nestled
behind shuttered doors
The weather was wretched
a cold front just passed
so we were expecting
a nor' easter blast
I sat in my office
and finished the logs
did not want a visit
from Federal dogs
When all of a sudden
out of nowhere, did it seem
I heard the unmistakable
helicopter scream
I flew to the window
and to my surprise
there was a Sikorsky
dropping down through the skies
What I saw was Igor's
most famous creation
with Santa performing
an auto rotation
"Down cyclic -- up collective
but, not too darn fast
If you blow this one, Nick
It'll be your last"
I ran to the ramp
with my heart all appatter
I had to ask Santa
Just what was the matter
But, he just sat there
all still on the skids
with the raindeer all crying
like a bunch of lost kids
Fine! Said Santa --
I was way over gross
With all of the presents
I thought I was toast!
What happened, Nick
I asked with a cry
I ran out of gas,
and fell from the sky
"Well, it was a good auto
what else could I say
He told me he'd take
600 Jet A
So, I tanked off his copter
and bid him good bye
and the raindeer hooked up
and off they did fly
Next thing I heard
was a ring on the phone
And an FAA voice said
"I thought you were alone"
Who was that chopper
that rotated in
I said "I dunno
I didn't see him"
Well, said the tower
"133 - A jet stream at 12
I hope you can see"
Came back a crackle
with a Christmas laugh
"Santa's got traffic
beneath him I'll pass"
And Merry Christmas said Santa
and best of luck
Came back the tower
"Is that you Chuck!"

Awesome!
Thanks Rob!
