My hopes and dreams are crushed............................everything I thought I knew about Garfield are ruined thanks to Odie.   :( ::banghead::

You didn't know that Odie wasn't Jon's dog? If memory serves me then there are several other details that were changed during the cartoon. For one thing, Garfield got very advanced cosmetic surgury before his first tv-show :D Furthermore he actually had a different name too, Herman, although that was in the danish version and was quickly changed with a strip actually explaining the name-change :D

Dark origins of Chicken Wings, isn't that illustrated on the last page of book 2? :D
