The "spinniest" airplane I've flown so far is the C1 and I wanted to compare it to the Tomahawk's reputation.
For the record, the C1 spins very well, and requires proper pilot inputs to recover. And recovery is not instant either.
Yes, "letting go" won't get you out of trouble in the tommy either. And it obeys the Law of Conservation of Rotational Momentum beautifuly -- speeding up the spin rotation as your lower the nose and shift the CofG...
Personally that last is what I put its reputation down to -- people panicking when the control inputs for recovery initially seemed to have made things worse.
Oh yeah -- and don't look backwards ;-)
