Someday, I have to add the DeHavilland Beaver to that list. I went fishing with this flying truck (as a passenger) and I was verry impress by the takeoff caracteristics.

Well I'm the noobie in here (my first post) and not a pilot..... But I have flown a Cherokee 140, Cessna 140, 150 and 172. Also I'm a line service tech for a busy Aircraft maintnance and 135 charter outfit in Vermont so I tow dang near anything that comes in our shop.. from j-3's to Challengers.

Wow, there are really a big collection of planes there you guys. I'm really beginning to think that planes are better than cars, and not just since there aren't tailgaters in the air!  |:)\

A Herc, that's not a bad machine, I actually saw one fly low some weeks ago, I think it was one of our owns (RDAF), and what kind of A-10 Sim are we talking, A-10 Tank Killer II on a good old Amiga 500 or a real pro one? :D

I love C-130s :)  Ridden all over Alaska in one years ago..how I got the 30 seconds of time :P  The ones based at Kulis in Anchorage seem to use my house as a checkpoint on the way in...they always make their turns right overhead!  Even more impressive when the C-17 does it!!  The A-10 Sim was at Elmendorf Air Force Base waaayyy back in the mid-eighties when I was a CAP Cadet.  Even let me shoot at a simulated tank with the GAU-8 :P

I get Herks shooting touch and go's almost every day at work... The NY Air Guard has a squadron outside of Albany that has C-130's on Skis for use supporting the Antarctic bases... They fly up to Burlington because the airspace isn't as busy at KBTV than it is around Albany. We call em' the "Ski-130's". We also get P-3 Orion's from Brunswick NAS in Maine as well as New Hampshire and Maine Guard KC-135 Tankers. Add in the Vermont Guard's F-16's flying 2 sorties a day (4-6 jets each flight) and I get a free airshow every day I work. Plus I get all kinds of cool stuff coming onto my ramp for customs (we shareramp space with US Customs) a few weeks ago I had one of only 3 still airworthy Lockheed model 10 Electra's (owned by Air Canada), I also get lots of nice homebuilts, new delivery Challenger Biz Jets, Global Expresses, CRJ's and Bell Helo's (Bell and Bombardier have plants in Montreal and we're the first Customs airport heading south into the US) My shop also does alot of custom avionics work (we did a one time STC to put an autopilot in an Aviat Huskey) and we are also a Cirrus service center. Keeps me busy all day. I wear out a set of sneakers every 2 months I think.
