Quite the contrary, 1.7mill for airworthy two seater Spit fresh off renovation seems as quite a good price to me.

AH the famous Beer spit flying Beer casks over to the 2nd Tac Air Force in Belguim
£1.7 million is about right for a restored Spit these days. if its the one im thinking about its a T9 done up in dutch airforce markings, done a a few test flights last month half finished.
