Aircraft identification

Friend of mine asked me to try to identify some airplane pictures for him, aircraft he had problem figuring out etc.

Some of these I know what they are, some I don't. 

Some pictures are pretty tough, one or two are the kinds of pictures that they would have put up for the competitive aircraft ID events back when I did that sort of thing with the university's flight team.

the one called "toughy" is a Eagle or was that sarcasm? the last one was of the Euro Fighter Typhoon and i think that one is hanging up in the R.A.F Museum at Hendon

thats as far as i can tell. The real toughie is distinguishing Mig29s from Sukhois. the su27 is much bigger than the Mig29, and has a proportinately longer nose. engines seem closer together, and the fins dont have extension strakes on the front. The mig is stubber, has a smaller wing, aux inlets in the leading edge strakes. The fins have forward extensions and the nose landing gear is forward of the intakes. Unfortunately I cant make out enough detail on some of those angles!

the one called "toughy" isn't an Eagle... 

It might have started out life as one, but Eagles don't have canards (or number of other changes I can see from a glance)

I need the actual designators for these.  That particular bird might well be an X plane, so I need the designator for it if so (that number of changes it wouldn't surprise me if it has an X designator).


 ZK Kiwi, I think you got the order off a bit, so your answers don't neccessarily match to all the pictures.    Any ones you aren't sure about, please let me know,   I don't want to give him answers for anything that might not be correct.

it's an F-16 if I'm right. no double tails, the pilot has his hand on the F-16 stick, the aileron has the 3 thingies (technical term) sticking out the aileron that the F-18 doesn't have, and the patch looks like an Air Force one (pacific air forces?)

Confirming madpilot on all MiG/Su points. No.4 is from Strizhi demo team btw. and the other one is really new digi camo of SQF (I should now, see avatar )
