Would you take flight training from this man?

This is the same guy who flew a 150 straight into the ADIZ.  Personally, I'm not getting anywhere close to his "training" facilities.

Some times there is a need and benefit of new methods but things need to be tried and tested, and his track-record is not one I like but I guess I'll look if he can prove something from his system.

Btw, I gather that ADIZ means no-fly zone but what does it stand for exactly? And was he fined for it? Reminds me of the kid that landed on the red square, he's not exactly living well now from what I read on a site, drugs etc.

Air Defense Identification Zone----You need to have permission to fly here or they send folks up in really fast airplanes to see who you are.

ADIZ = Air Defense Idetification Zone.  In order to go in there, you need to file IFR or DVFR (Defense VFR), and if I remember right, you have to file at least an hour before your departure time.  Homeland Security basically doesn't want anyone going in there, so they make it as confusing as possible.

This is a picture of the ADIZ.

AOPA also has a good article on exactly what the ADIZ is and how it affects GA and the airports in and around DC.

No, I don't believe I'd go here for training.  Part 61 works because it's not structured lesson by lesson.  Part 141 works because it is.  Students will gravitate towards whichever part works for them.

If I'm not mistaken then this article linked from the X-Plane site is related isn't it? No-Fly-Zones guarded by armed jets: http://www.x-plane.com/adventures/tfr.html

Is it really that bad regarding marking these zones? And where are these dynamic zones, just Washington or all over USA?

Btw, the screenshots of the world-wide scenery for X-Plane with the Avanti in the foreground looks truly awesome! I'm seriously thinking of getting X-Plane, which btw also has a program that can show the Cirrus-style or Garmin 1000 display on a seperate monitor but run with X-Plane.

I don't think it's the same guy, but there's an excellent lesson in there.  Thanks for posting it.

Ah no, I meant it was related to no-fly zones for civilian traffic, to my knowledge that story is a personal experience from the main man behind X-Plane.
