It's not lost, it's finding alternative destinations! :D
I think that was from Prairy Home Companion, one of the female comics of the show acting the role of a wife who defends her husband's lack of navigational skills, I think, or otherwise she was offending him on a level way above his intellect, either way it was really funny :D

No need to ever admit to being lost----there is a way to get out of it:

Call the nearest radar facility and ask for a transponder check...

You:   "Oakland center, this is cesna 123, I would like a transponder check"

Ctr:     "Cesna 123, is that you bearing 155 @ 9 miles?"

You:    "Center--that would be me--guess my transponder works huh?"

Ctr:    "Yes it does---have a great day"
