I am afraid they didn't have much information to draw upon other than the fact that a collision occured and the student solo didn't understand English very well.  Too many other factors involved here that need to be investigated.  Sad all the same.

Who managed to take those pics of the 150!?!?  That was one badly mangled wing!  Given the wing damage and the fact that the Warrior landed with its occupants unharmed leads me to speculate whether a contributing factor may have been the classic High Wing/Low Wing encounter, where neither pilot can see the other aircraft due to their wings being in the way.

Like I said, pure speculation on my part.   ::thinking::

Photos of the Warrior involved in the accident!!!!  :o  |:)\  ::bow:: Full praise to the instructor who landed it!!

I believe the 152 shots where taken by an other student R/C who was on the ground having lunch!!

Whoa.....  that is crazy!  What a drag....

I still say that's the only truly scary part of flying -- that someone could run into you.....

Sure makes for more grey hair every time it almost happens, too, I am here to tell you.....   ::complaining:

Don't make me come back there!!!!

I understand how these can happen.

Two years ago, I was flying downwind at TPA in a highwing with full lexan overhead.
I looked up and could see the thread depth  ::sick:: on the wheels of a low wing that overtook me from behind and he continued at a faster speed and landed.

He never acted like he knew I was there. ::loony::

I just radioed that I was departing the pattern and found safer airports to fly at.
