Subject: Happy Birthday Charles Taylor
Happy Birthday Chuck!!!!!!
For those that don't know, Charles Edward Taylor was the Wright Brothers mechanic. If it were not for him and his abilities, the Wright Brothers would have been known as really great kite builders with a bicycle shop. He designed and built an aluminum water-cooled engine from scratch in only six weeks, based partly on rough sketches provided by the Wrights. The engine that he built produced 12 horsepower.
It is the shoulders of this Giant that all aircraft mechanics stand on today.
Charles Taylor was;
