That's the video I was talking about earlier. They said the pilot made wild maneuvers "the yoke pulled into the stomach" and where the announcer at the show allegedly was his wife.

I've watched that a couple of times now.  I would think that Frank's right about making maneuvers that overstressed the plane, and eventually the wings just couldn't hold the weight of the airplane anymore.  Looks like the tail got overstressed, too.

I never knew there was indoor R/C aerobatics competitions as well. I almost thought that Las Vegas R/C helicopter video was a one-off but there seem to be more R/C aerobatics experts out there!  8) |:)\
