After speaking to Mary one night in chat i thought i would post some pics of me and my grandad along with a pic of the other veterans i went with on my last visit with him to Archangel in russia near the artic circle. the white berets are the Russian Convoy Club ,this branch is based in london which im now a member of ,and the green ones are the russian veterans.
the photos where taken at the British and commonwealth cemetry in Archangel for those who died during the russain revolution trying to save the Tsar Nicholas the second in 1919 and at the Kursk submarine memorial, the last was at a memorial to russian sea cadets who lost their lives at sea in ww2 (i think cant remember), before any one asks im wearing the glen garry and not a white beret at that time i was not a member of the association but after my grandad died i thought i would join to keep the membership going.
