Transferred to Iraq
« on: February 17, 2006, 01:20:57 PM »
Well, it was bound to happen...
As a corporal of the Estonian army i was transferred to iraq with ESTPLA.I wont be replying much, cause of the absence of proper allowance (only important things etc.)
I am in the airforce of the US atm. as a parachutist/gunner (i found out that my military training allows me to be a gunner on the CLASSIFIED (i cannot say the name, forgive me) airplane. Its hugemongous....and has lots of guns....we even put a nickname to it : big bad asswipe (i made it).

Ill be replying soon (going back to estonia in 4 days).

Oh wow!! I wish you all the best! And all the luck you can have! Get back whole and in one piece, okay?! I didn't even know Estonians were in Iraq... But I guess you won't have massive troops there and will rather be on special missions, right? When will you leave?

Well we don't know what type of plane it is, but we can guess that it is a brownish color!  ;D

Good luck good guy!!! And come back in one peace and without additional holes in your body, you hear me?

Sounds like the airplane is an AC 130 Spectre …
If it is so, they wouldn’t shoot at you. There is an awful lot of steel coming down from this aircraft leaving no time at all to even look up. :-\

Looking forward to hear (read) from you again. Best wishes (hug,  hug, tap, tap, sniff, sniff) :-[ :'(
If helicopter flying would be difficult, engineers would do it.

WOW!!
Ya'll be careful, hear?
As my old 1st Sargeant used to say "aim low, the bastards might be crawling"

Seriously, don't try to be a hero, just stay aware of your surroundings at every second---inattention can get you hurt!

Indeed..it is the Spectre..its gray ! :)
I wont come back with aditional holes...because the Iraqis dont really have anything to shoot us with ...sticks and stones may brake my bones but they have no AA-missles anymore...and no...my hair remains intact! just need to have it in a ponytail. Its goddamn hot...almost impossible to sleep...although its kinda fun...the americans have the best cigarettes!
