it's not an European thing to have a beer fridge (which is ironic cause that's where our beer originally came from)
but I wouldn't say it's just a Canadian thing....
One of my friends has an old Coke Vending machine filled with beer in his garage!!
That's awesome!
Hard to keep it filled though for some reason
See Mike, you understand. An old machine to keep the beer cool. Those old fridges may take a bit more power, but run just well some going on from the 50's and 60's. When I was working with Goodwill, we'd pick up those fridges. They were the ones that were still working just fine, and needed nothing more than slight cleaning to remove the cobwebs from the motor area. They were sold as quickly as they came in. Those fridges were like cars of the era. All decked out with chrome lettering and handles. All that was missing were the fuzzy dice! They were not only popular in garages, but basement bars as well. Ask any 50's junkie. They'll tell ya. Those fridges rock, and they'll keep going long after anything in anyone's kitchen now.
I've found a few online to show ya. And while searching, apparently the style is coming back. Kewl!!
