more spam problems . . .
« on: December 13, 2007, 01:39:26 AM »
. . . this time of a different nature.

Somebody turned our newsletter in as spam!
I just spent all day reasoning with our server people not to shut us down.

I don't get it. The only people who get our newsletter are people who signed up for it or who
signed up for the forum. If they are fans, why would they complain?
And then why didn't they write us? Instead of writing the server people, they could just have told us....

It's really frustrating sometimes . . . .

Sorry, just had to vent  :P

That's weird indeed! I hope the server people could see that it wasn't spam right?

Edit: I just saw the one sent out to about chrismas and it says one can unsubscribe at the bottom so that should be fairly easy. I can't remember how one got written up for this but I'm pretty sure it was seperate from the forum.
Btw, some newsletters have it written on top that it was sent since the email it was sent to was sent as requesting the newsletter and they can reply to some link to unsubscribe if they don't wish it anymore or if they did not send their email in (maybe someone else did it, or they forgot and just reported it as spam, or was mad at the site and wanted to cause trouble?).

yeah... the whole thing is strange.

Is somebody so mad at us that they take the time to report us rather than just clicking the "unsubscribe" button?
doesn't make sense....

maybe this whole thing is about the strip with the anchovies?!/  :o

I didn't know some people hated them that much!!  ;)

But the server could see you're not spammers right? And hopefully there's just that one person right?
